Best of Luck to the Miss Mansfield Scholarship Program!

Tonight in Mansfield the lovely Sophia Davis [left] will give up her first pageant title. Sophia, a dancer from Pickerington who works with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, has already earned a second trip to Miss Ohio, recently winning Miss Miami Valley!

The Miss Mansfield pageant will begin at 6:15 at the Mansfield Senior High School Auditorium. For more informations on the pageant,
click here. The Miss Mansfield program is working on their own website.

Also, Sophia has recently launched a new website; it's wonderful, and I'm not just saying that because I'm in one of the photos. :)

Rumor has it the following women are competing:

Alyssa Speicher is a baton twirler. At this time, that is all I know about her. [No photo could be found.]

Amy Allen [left] is pursuing her Masters in Business at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. For her talent she will sing and she advocates Urban Renewal Through Habitat for Humanity.

Jillian Dansko [Right] is a tap dancer who promotes Artistic Involvement for the Disabled. She is studying Communications at John Carroll University. A crown would send Jillian back to Miss Ohio for a third time.

Emily Cousino [left] is studying Art Therapy, Business and Computer Systems at Lourdes College. She is a former Miss Junior America. Emily will sing a jazz vocal; her platform is Heart Start Education.

Ashley Hartman [right] is a Communications major at the University of Akron. She is a lyrical dancer who promotes Internet Safety.

Amanda Hahn [left] is a vocalist who promotes Self Confidence in Teens. She studies Fashion Design and Merchandising at Kent State University.

Katie Camp [right] is a tap dancer pursuing Dance at Wright State University. Katie’s platform is Mentoring Through the Arts.

Kristen Haas [left] is a Bowling Green State University student studying Dance and Exercise. She performs a jazz dance and advocates Preventing Heart Disease in Women. This past July Kristen made her first appearance at Miss Ohio as Miss Chillicothe.

I wish Laura and Sophia a great show, and best of luck to all the contestants! While this would be my last chance to be a "visiting titleholder," I don't think I'll be attending. Rather, I'll anxiously await the results and post them as soon as I can.

  • If you're talking about waiting for the results... I thought we'd know sooner too since it started at 6:30.

I may try to immediately call an internet savvy friend to post the results for me next weekend after Miss Maumee Valley.

P.S. I don't know why, but the time stamps on comments are obviously inaccurate.
