More Tips from Miss America Contestants

In addition to sharing fashion tips (see the post below), the fifty-two Miss America contestants also shared beauty secrets they live by. I've copied my favorites below, but to read them all, go to CMT's Miss America site.
Miss Alaska, Rebecca Hayes
Use tan or a light color eye shadow on the inside corner of your eyelids, and use a darker color eye shadow on the outside crease of your eyelid. It makes your eyes look larger. Skin care tip: Use a face lotion with SPF.

Miss Arkansas, Eudora Mosby
Beauty, true beauty starts from the inside and radiates out. So, as women it is our job to cultivate the beauty of our inner woman by taking time to think, prioritize and meditate.

Miss California, Dustin-Leigh Konzelman
When I don't have much time, but want to look put together, I pull my hair back into a low pony tail, smooth it completely and finish with a shine spray all over. It looks glamorous and it only takes a minute!

Miss Connecticut, Dianna M. Baitinger
I always use velcro rollers when I am done blow drying to give my hair shape and movement. Use the largest rollers you can find on the top and front of your head, and work your way back with a medium-sized roller. Spray with hairspray and quickly blow dry. Once the rollers have cooled, pull them out and, viola! Movie star hair!

Miss Delaware, Becky Bledsoe
Lightly heating your eyelash curler with a hair dryer is a great way to make your eyelash curl last. Just make sure you test the curler before using it so you don't burn your skin!

Miss Georgia, Monica Pang
For under eye-circles and puffiness, steep chamomile tea bags. Drain them, freeze them and place them on your eyes for 15-20 minutes. You can refreeze the tea bags and use them several times.

Miss Idaho, Tracey Brown
Put a light-reflecting eye shadow right under the brow and in the corner of the eye to brighten up sleepy-looking eyes.

Miss Iowa, Kay Pauszek
Apply blush to the apple of your cheeks for a healthy glow. Or, pull back hair in a bun in order to help preserve the body or curl in hair, and once you make it to your destination(workplace, party, or out of the rain), take out your bun and your hair is full of body!

Miss Kentucky, Kerri Mitchell
My favorite beauty tip is simple. Smile!

Miss Missouri, Stacie Cooley
Less is more! Let your natural beauty shine through.

Miss New Hampshire, Audra Paquette
Toothpaste is an overnight cure for those unexpected break outs. Sleep with a little dab on your problem area, and in the morning, your face will be as fresh as your teeth!

Miss New York, Kandice Pelletier
Aside from wearing red lipstick -- if you do darker eyes -- lighter lips. If you do darker lips -- lighter eyes.

Miss North Carolina, Brooke Elizabeth McLaurin
Lip gloss will make your lips look fuller by reflecting light, and SMILE. People are attracted to those who are happy.

Miss Ohio, Marlia Fontaine
Spray fingertips with hairspray, and then run fingers through the section of hair that needs the hold. This reduces the stiff, dry look and assures the hairspray is used where it's intended.

Miss Oklahoma, Jennifer Berry
I love to have that fresh, dewy look to my makeup. After I have finished putting on all of my makeup, I dab a damp cotton ball across my cheeks to get a more natural finish.

Miss Utah, Julia Marie Bachison
Take time to take care of yourself and to always have confidence. There is nothing more attractive than confidence in a person. Confidence can radiate in everything you do from how you walk, how you talk and how you treat other people.

Miss Alabama, Alexa Jones
Drink more water! Staying hydrated not only clears skin but also makes your body feel better overall.

Miss Tennessee, Tara Burns
I try to drink two or three liters of water every day. Drinking water has countless benefits. It keeps our bodies and skin hydrated, it gives us energy and it flushes toxins so we stay healthy!

Miss Louisiana, Molly Clare Causey
Always wash your makeup off before going to bed!

Miss Nevada, Crystal Wosik
Never go to bed without washing your face.

Miss New Jersey, Julie Robenhmer
Wash your face before you go to bed, and don't forget to moisturize!

Miss Vermont, Megan Plebani
Always wash off your makeup before you sleep!!!!
