Au revoir! D'à Montréal nous allons!

The past few days have been exciting and hectic. Yesterday I met the young woman I will be coaching throughout this semester in BGSU's Springboard! program. Actually, we realized we'd met once before, but all the chatting about our commonalities left me no time to mention my blogging and get her permission to include her here, so I'll stop for now.

The hectic part is that the Forensics (Speech, Debate and Competitive Performance) team is preparing to go to the Collegiate Forensics Association's National Tournament, aka CFA, in Montreal, Quebec.

Our team has won this event for the past four year, and for three years prior to that our coach won it with a different team. So this trip to French-speaking Canada has gone from fun to pressure-filled.

Wish us luck! We depart from Bowling Green tomorrow morning at 3 a.m. to catch a 6 a.m. train from Windsor to Montreal; with a lay-over in Toronto is something like a six or eight hour trip. Ugh!
