Bel Duetto will be making their debut at Hoover Auditorium but neither singer in this stunning duo is new to the stage. She has performed leading soprano roles in several musical comedies and operas including: La Boheme, The Gondoliers, Bye Bye Birdie and The King and I. A winner of both the Giorgio Tozzi Scholarship and the Marvin Hamlisch Award, Ms. Beagle has furthered her operatic training in Italy as part of Opera Theatre of Lucca, birthplace of legendary operatic composer, Giacomo Puccini.
In his burgeoning singing career, tenor Craig Raymaley’s engaging on-stage portrayals have garnered him praise by critics from newspapers such as Pittsburgh Post-Gazette which have heralded him as “a burnished force” and “the biggest treat of the evening.” While a member of the Performer Residency Program at prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Raymaley made his professional debut with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. Mr. Raymaley was chosen to create the buffo role of Tokopoko in the world premier of Leonardo Balada’s opera The Town of Greed, the recording of which has been released internationally on the Naxos label.
bel Duetto’s new website,
Bonny Youngblood, Worthy Grand Matron of the Eastern Star’s Ohio Grand Chapter, said she is impressed with the caliber of entertainment that bel Duetto provides. “Amanda and Craig are entertainment at it’s finest,” Youngblood said. “Their performance is universally appealing and their artistic ability is unsurpassed.”
