Happy 4th of July

Here we are at the end of day 4...

Today was my favorite so far. Why, do you ask, because we were able to spend 2 hrs with Abby. This was done because of the holiday allowing the contestants time to spend with their families. In the world of MO this has not been done before, so I am grateful that MO week fell during a holiday this year.

As you can see from the photos, we all grabbed a few moments of Abby's attention including 2 of her young fans Selina and Erica (her directors' granddaughters). I was just glad to get a few minutes that I didn't have to worry about chaperones etc. Unfortunately the time went by too quickly and before we knew it it was time for her to go back to the theatre. I for one can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of time we shared right down to the last 5 minutes.

One of the traditions during MO week is the decorating of your hotel room door. Abby's directors go all the way when it comes to showing their support as you can see in the photo on the left. Our door is a little more subtle but gets our point across of how special Abby is to all of us. We decided to turn our door into a big signing sheet where anyone can leave a note or thought for Abby. We currently have many notes with many more to come...

As I get ready to turn in for the evening, I can tell you this. Abby is ready. She has spent so much time and effort preparing for this week and it shows. I want you all to know how proud we are of our STAR!!!

GO ABBY!!!!
