Miss America: All Over the Web

CMT, Miss America’s television home this year has launched an extensive website dedicated to the pageant. It includes candid photos and bios of all 52 contestants, as well as information about reigning Miss America, Deidre Downs, host James Denton, news releases, television programming, a radio stream and a poll. I encourage everyone to take this poll, as I am sure its results will affect the future of the program. Sadly, at this point, talent, the part of Miss America which needs the most support is receiving the least in this poll which asks which element of the pageant is your favorite.

After I submitted my vote for talent, the following results were revealed to me: evening gown, 45%; the crowning moment, 24%; parade of stars, 12%; swimsuit, 12%; host James Denton, 9%; talent, 6%.
